Senior Housing

Barcelon Associates have more than three decades of experience working in the senior housing field. We manage both affordable and market-rate senior facilities in many communities in Northern California. We will manage properties with as few as 50 units, up to hundreds of units. We provide oversight, and an entire range of management services, including on-site social service coordination. The guiding principles in our management of senior housing is a focus on the person, our senior resident. We are convinced that care for our elderly residents, safety, quality of life, well maintained facilities, good management practices, and strong support from Barcelon Associates corporate departments can and are accomplished through a strong and caring staff.

Residential Care facilities for the Elderly
We work with owners to secure funding, navigate the regulatory process, and build staffing configurations. We will work with architects and contractors throughout the pre-construction and construction phases and develop an ongoing marketing plan that meets the owner's requirements. Barcelon Associates will complete the licensing procedure, as well as guide our staff through the "rent up" phase with the goal of full occupancy. We will manage the ongoing operations of your RCFE maintaining the highest standards of care and safety for every resident. We are equipped to take over management of established RCFE's and promise to provide excellent management that you can trust

Management Services

Market Rate & Affordable Housing

Each community and each owner have different needs. Barcelon Associates currently manages properties that rents for market rate as well as properties that offer affordable housing to many groups of individuals and families. Our working philosophy is that for our market rate properties, our goal is to maintain both the operation and the property at a high standard without overspending the owner's money. This provides for a property of which the owner can be proud. For our affordable developments, our goal is very much the same. These properties are kept up to the same standards of safely, operations and maintenance, ensuring that an affordable property will never become "run down".

Housing for the Mobility Impaired Adults

Barcelon Associates has many years of experience managing housing for mobility-impaired adults. We understand the special needs of this community, as well as the desire on the part of all our residents to be self-sufficient when possible. We manage with sensitivity, awareness, and the highest standards of care. Each site serving mobility impaired adults is staffed by a social service coordinator whose role it is to assist residents in maintaining maximum independence while receiving all necessary help from the community

Family Housing

Barcelon Associates is very proud to manage over 1,300 units of family housing in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. We manage both subsidized as well as conventional family housing. Providing safe affordable housing to families in an era when housing is difficult to find, that's what we do. Helping build communities, that's what we do. Whether you are a "for-profit" entity seeking to maintain an income from your property while at the same time keeping your property well-maintained, or a "non-profit" organization offering affordable, safe, and well-maintained housing, Barcelon Associates can help you succeed. We work with individuals and organizations that wish to build or develop a wide array of housing options funded by conventional lenders, tax credits, bonds, HUD or state and local housing and redevelopment agencies and private foundations. We have the capacity to research the ever-changing field of funding for housing options. We also have a working relationship with a non-profit organization committed to providing affordable assisted living facilities, affordable housing for the elderly, and a range of social services.
